The last few weeks have been filled with elbow grease and anticpation as we wrap up our renovations on the facility. We have added new roofs, floors, receiving pens, heating and cooling, lights, and an assortment of other miscellaneous renovations. The facility is shaping up to be quite nice and we are looking forward to opening this week. Check out our photo gallery to see our progress. You can also visit our facebook page for more pictures . As mentioned earlier we are excited to open any day now. We are not yet offering retail sales but that will be coming in the near future. If you are interested in having an animal processed please give us a call or email. We will be happy to help you in any way possible and to schedule your animal.
For those just poking around the website there are a few new recipes posted. Garlic scapes are in season right now and if you have not tried cooking with them you are missing out. Stop by any of your local farmer's markets (especially the Saturday North Atherton Farmers Market in State College) to pick some up and try them out. They pack a deliciously delicate punch of garlic to hold you over until bulbs are ready for harvest.
